Software Applications Training

On-Line, Self-Study Training through Element K
The Department of Finance has purchased licenses for on-line training through Element K. These licenses provide web-based training which guides users by allowing them to practice within a simulated software environment for whatever application they are learning. Department of Finance staff may request a license from either their surpervisor or Cara Coble. One license allows a user to take as many classes as they would like for an entire year.

Classroom Training Provided by Outside Companies
Vanderbilt has training contracts with two vendors in Nashville: Athena Computer Learning Centers and New Horizons. If you need training in the commonly used applications (Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports, etc.) you may contact them directly and identify yourself as Vanderbilt staff.
