Drop boxes have been added to the Medical Payroll windows labeled for items such as Stipends, 1180's, Center Request Forms, Travel Requisitions, Check Requests, etc. In short, there will be a place to drop off any document that you need to send to Crystal.

On a daily basis, the courier will pick up and deliver items at the Medical Payroll drop boxes at the following times:

  • 8:00 am
  • 11:00 am
  • 1:00 pm
  • 3:30 pm

Information for Staff Who are Parking at Crystal Terrace:

Q. Do I need a card to get into the parking garage at Crystal Terrace?
A. Yes. You receive an access card when you register to park in the Crystal Terrace garage. This card will open the parking garage gates and the doors from the garage into the Crystal Terrace building.

Q. Where are the entrances into the parking garage?
A. There are two entrances to the garage: one is off of West End into the front of the building; one is off of Orleans, which is at the back of the building. From the front entrance, you can turn into the garage on the first floor or you can drive up beside the building to the back entrance, which goes onto the 3rd floor.

You need to be especially careful when you first park at Crystal Terrace. The garage is fairly narrow and you could save your car from some nasty dings (or worse) by taking your time as you get used to the garage and its layout.

Q. What floors at Crystal Terrace contain parking?
A. Parking is available on Floors 1-6. 2-hour visitor parking is available on the 1st floor. Other than spaces reserved for directors on the 3rd floor and handicapped parking spaces, the rest of the spaces are open for anyone registered to park at Crystal Terrace.

Q. How do I get from the parking garage into the building?
A. Through the doors on garage levels B, 1, 3 & 4. On the 3rd floor, the parking garage extends to the back of the building so you can get directly onto the elevators from the parking garage. You may not enter on levels 2, 5 or 6.

Information for Staff Who are Parking in the Shuttle Lots or on Campus:

Q. If I am parking in the shuttle lots or on campus, how do I get to and from Crystal Terrace?
A. There is a shuttle devoted to transporting staff to and from Crystal Terrace in the morning and in the afternoon. The shuttle picks up and drops off by the shelter in LOT 73 ONLY. The schedule for the morning and afternoon direct shuttle runs is as follows:

6:00 AM - 7:30AM: White Van designated "Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking"
7:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Hospitality shuttle (will be marked as "hospitality")
4:45 PM - 7:00 PM: White Van designated "Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking"

During the middle of the day, the White Van runs a route to the following buildings: Medical Center North, 3401 West End, Crystal Terrace, 2611 West End, and 2525 West End. To view or print the shuttle schedule, click here.

Q. How do I know which shuttle to take? Will it be marked?
A. The primary shuttle going to Crystal is a White Van marked "Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking," with the exception of 7:30am - 9:00am (see the schedule above).

Q. Where do I stand to catch the shuttle?
A. In the shuttle lots, stand in or near the shelter in LOT 73.

Q. Where will the shuttle drop me off at Crystal?
A. The shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at the FRONT ENTRANCE of Crystal Terrace, off of West End.

Parking Arrangements for On-Campus Meetings

Q. Where can I park if I choose to drive my car to an on-campus meeting?
A.For travel to/from a meeting location on campus, shuttle service is available and staff are encouraged to utilize the service. Staff may choose to use their own personal vehicle to routinely or randomly travel to/from the core campus and their work site but do so on their own accord. Reimbursement of mileage will not be paid. However, the department has a limited number of hang tags and parking vouchers for Highland and Capers Avenues' garages. When you choose to drive to campus, please see your support staff for appropriate parking arrangements.

  • Remember that if you need to park for a short period of time (just to pick something up), you can use the 20 minute spaces along the Round Wing circle. There are also 2 spaces just outside the covered parking of MCN and 2 north of the Gothic door of MCN on Stevenson Ctr Lane that runs between McTyeire and Zerfoss Health Center.
